Phase 22™ flexible pouches help keep products between 69-75 degrees during shipment in hot or cold environments. This phase change material is ideally suited for the shipment of blood products, tissues, pharmaceuticals, live animals and plants that must remain in the 20°C to 30°C range.

Use with one of our shipping warmers or cold packs to keep temps stable for longer periods of time. 

Phase 22™

• Most used for applications that need to maintain a controlled room temperature
• Phase change temperature is 71° F (22°C)
• Provides thermal protection when shipping products between 15-30°C
• When used as liquid, keeps contents warm
• When used as solid, protects contents from heat
• Reusable!

Here is how it works. The liquid in the pouch turns solid at about 71° so it has a different solid point than water/ice. So when you use in a pouch in hot weather you want to put the pouch in while it is in a solid state and it will absorb heat and slowly turn back to a liquid state.  Then the reverse is true in winter shipping. This gives your package more time to arrive at it's destination at a safe temperature. 

For cold weather shipping keep pouches stored above 76° or soak in warm water before using to have the pack in a liquid state. Then use together with one of our shipping warmers for added protection from the outside elements. The Phases 22 pouches will then help keep your shipment warm as it slowly changes to a solid state absorbing the cold as your shipping warmer cools. 

For hot weather shipping keep your pouches stored below 68° and place them in your shipping box with a cold pack. The pouch will then slowly change to a liquid state as the cold pack warms and help keep your package at a safe temperature.
